Enter the troubled world of a couple with more secrets than the FBI...

Remy and Cease Morgan seem like your typical married couple, but you never know what goes on behind closed doors. Cease is a young hustler from Flint, Michigan, who can roll with the best of them; but when he discovers Remy’s diary after she’s unavoidably locked up, he realizes he may be the heavy and Remy the biggest hustler of all. Remy came from nothing and wanted it all. What she got was the best the streets could offer as the original Street Diva, but it was also the beginning of her downfall. Can Cease rescue her from her past?

Meet Writing Duo, Ashley Snell and JaQuavis Coleman aka Ashley Jaquavis, Author(s) of "Dirty Money, Diary of a Street Diva, and Supreme Clientele"

Q:  When did you decide you wanted to write?

A: (Ashley) I have always had a passion for writing. I always thought I would be a journalist. My writing ventured in a different direction as I grew older and now here I am writing novels. So writing has been dream of mine since I was a little girl.

Q:  How many novels in all have you written?

A:  (JaQuavis) Four. Diary of a Street Diva, Dirty Money, Supreme Clientele.

Q:  How long did it take you to write your first novel?

A:  (Ashley) Dirty Money was the first novel that JaQuavis and I co-wrote and it actually didn’t take long at all. It took us like two or three weeks to complete it. The story was partly true, so we didn’t have to create the plot; we simply recalled what actually happened.

Q:  Where do you get your inspiration for your stories?

A:  (JaQuavis) I take life experiences and put them into our story lines. I try to give realistic viewpoints of what happens where I’m from. It’s authentic.

Q:  What feedback have you received from fans?

A:  (Jaquavis) We get much love from the readers, all the e-mails and reviews make it all worth it.

Q:  What authors do you admire? Did one of them inspire you?

A:  (JaQuavis) My co-author is my favorite author. She is talented and it’s a privilege to work with a person that I know see things like I do. We’re from the same hood.

Q:  Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

A:  On top of the world. Only the future knows whats in store for me, I’m just going to do me and pour my heart into whatever I do.

Q:  What advice would you give aspiring authors?

A:  (Jaquavis) Be true to yourself and ambition is the best trait a person can have. Work hard and follow your dreams.  “Anything you put yo’ mind to, put yo’ grind to.”

Q:  Are you working on another novel? What is it about?

A:  Pink Panties & Prada (tentative title) which is the best story yet.

Q:  Where can people purchase your books? Do you have a website?

A:  Fans can contact us at and our books are sold anywhere where street lit is sold. Thanks for the great interview!
